The children are learning to become word detectives. They are using context clues from the illustrations and surrounding text to try and figure out the meaning of unknown vocabulary words. I will keep adding pictures as I catch the students in their sleuthing.

Quiz Quiz Trade
The children are participating in an activity called "Quiz Quiz Trade". The children have made their own math flashcards and are quizzing their classmates on their math problems.
Multicultural Night
The first graders were invited to dance the Mexican Hat Dance as our contribution to Multi-cultural night.
Happy St. Patrick's Day
The children participated in St. Patrick's themed activities including a "Lucky Charms" Math activity and "How to Catch a Leprechaun" writing activity. The day was topped off with green milkshakes and a March birthday celebration.
