Grandparents' Day

The students performed a short song on stage for their grandparents.  Then the grandparents joined us in the room, where we sang them another song.  The children presented their grandparent(s) with a poem with their grandchild's handprint. Then everyone helped to complete an All About Me math paper.

Science Inquiry on Earthworms

The children compared gummy earthworms to live earthworms as part of a science inquiry.  Here are a few pictures from that day. We learned that earthworms prefer damp, dark and smooth places over rough, dry and lighted areas.  But they also don't like it to be really wet.

Pumpkin Math Day

On Halloween, we learned all about pumpkins with our Science Inquiry on Pumpkins.  We measured, we scooped and counted.  We learned about the Pumpkin seed Cycle. We read stories about Pumpkins and we wrote our own story on how to carve a pumpkin.  Here are some pictures.
